Sand Wash Wild Horses

I was lucky enough to get out to the Sand Wash Herd Management Area in northwest Colorado three times during my trip west recently. In the spring there is always a lot of activity like young colts play fighting like these two to older stallions fighting for mares to new foals being born. It is a treat and a privelege to be able to observe and photograph wild horses like this! I wish that all people could spend some time in these places but since many never get the chance I hope that photos can help tell the story.
